There are many sites, however, available which provide absolutely free (and good quality) movie footage. You can find trailers, clips and background information on many movies. One such site is Turner Classic Movies; here you can get incredible footage of some of the best films ever made. One movie you can download for free from Turner is �McClintock� � a Western film starring John Wayne. You can also visit a site called Moviesfoundonline.com. Here you can download complete films which are no longer under copyright restriction. These films, which have expired copyrights, are not the latest hits, but are often very good and quite entertaining.
Apple Movie Trailers is a great site to visit. Here, you can spend hours watching clips, trailers and out-takes from many very famous movies. Some more obscure films are also featured and equally entertaining.
There are other movie download sites that do offer free trial periods. Vongo.com offers a fourteen-day free trial period. During that time you can download as many movies as you like. They will not be the very latest movies, but more likely movies that have been out of theaters for a few years. After the trial period expires, Vongo.com charges a $9.99 fee per month.
CinemaNow offers movies for rental � these movies are typically quite new. Currently, you can rent Sweeney Todd, Juno or No Country for Old Men (the Oscar winner) for $3.99 each. �Renting� at CinemaNow means downloading the movie to your computer � unlike Netflix (and others) that ships the actual DVDs to your home.
