Going in for an interview is never easy. For most people this is a nerve wracking experience whose anticipation is the cause of many sleepless nights. This is why job applicants need to prepare ahead of time. This way, once interview day arrives, the applicant can walk into the room and greet their interviewer with a beaming smile that exudes confidence.
Anticipate Those Tough Questions
There are questions that applicants need to anticipate. These are the tough interview questions that are always present during job interviews. One example of this type of question is "Tell me about yourself". Now, this dosen't seem like a particularly tough question; but, it is one that can reveal quite a bit about the applicant.
This is a standard question that will almost always pop up during a job interview. Being prepared for this question will allow an applicant to shine. It will also give them the opportunity to showcase their achievements, employment objectives, and a bit of personality.

Knowing everything you need to know about the job you are applying for is a must! The last thing you want is to get caught off guard when this type of question starts creeping in during the interview.

Q. Why should you be hired for this position?
A. I believe I am the best person for this position.
Now, do not just stop here. Sell yourself, you have to convince them why you are indeed the best candidate for this job. This is the question that will allow applicants to showcase their strengths; and also mention any inherent traits and qualities that set them apart from other applicants.
Q. What do you consider your greatest weakness?
A. When confronted with this question most people flat out lie in the hope of sugar coating their negative response. Sometimes it happens, that they become too honest, and take this question as an opportunity to exorcise their demons. Forgetting for a second that they are in a job interview, and not in a shrink's office.
The best way to deal with this question is to construct your answer in such a way that you do not perform self character assassination. An example of a reply to this question would be - In the past I have suffered from a lack of efficient time management and organization. Therefore, I always found myself having to work overtime. I have learned to remedy this problem by becoming more meticulous, and diligent. Make sure that when stating something negative, that you redeem yourself by ending on a positive note.
One of the most important things, beside your preparation, when going in for an interview is to have a positive attitude! You can be certain that your interviewer will be able to sense your attitude, and read your body language. Relax, makeing sure to calm your nerves before going in for the interview. You may be the most qualified applicant, and you do not want to mess up your interview because of a case of the jitters. This is why applicants need to mentally prepare themselves for their interviews. Before going into the interview room take a moment for some deep breaths to help calm down, and relax. This way, you sould do well with the answers to tough interview questions.
