Why Satellite TV is Absolutely Necessary |
How you view your TV programming and where it comes from, is optional for everyone who watches TV now. You have your choice of basic standard programming, that costs you nothing but you must endure all the commercials that they show you to pay for the broadcast time. The companies that advertise their products and services frequently have some say in the content of the programming also, so you have to watch some pretty subgrade shows as a result.
The next step up from there is cable service and it has been around for a few decades and it was a great improvement from standard programming for a few reasons. Cable introduced us to twenty-four hour news and that was pretty exciting. A person could turn on their TV in the middle of the night and watch the news. Cable companies did very well for some time, because they had no competition and they charged their customers for everything including installation.
Then about a little over two decades ago, satellite TV service made its apearance with its huge metal dishes and its limited programming. The first people who got into satellite were treated to all kinds of foreign programming and stray Nasa signals that they could pick up. So satellites beginning was a pretty mundane affair and not alot of people were willing to buy the expensive equipment and have the huge receiver planted in their yard, to hear the news in Portuguese.
Satellite has gone through some major changes, that have caused it to be the number one prefered programming service in the world. The receiver dishes are alot smaller and cheaper now, because Dish Network will give you one for free, along with the complete satellite TV system they give you when you join their family of viewers. Now satellite TV programming service providers like Dish Network carry more channels and programming than cable service providers, with well over two-hundred and fifty channels for you to choose from when you sign up for their service.
High definition is the new kid on the block and Dish Network is the recognized leader in high definition, with well over thirty channels of high definition programming for you to choose from. Virtually all of Dish Networks signals are broadcast in a digital format, for a clearer picture and sound and at no extra cost to you. Cable service providers charge you extra for a digital signal and if you don't pay them then you get your programming sent to you in a standard analog format.
Analog is the same format that has been used since the early days of black and white TV. So satellite TV isn't really necessary but is is far more desirable than cable TV programming. So if you are looking for something that is better and less expensive than what you have been getting, look to you Dish Network because they are the recognized leader in satellite TV programming more channels of programming and at great bargain prices.
