Women have been recycling water for years - every time they threw their wash water out onto the vegie patch. Now that recycled water is seen as important by authority figures, new terms have been coined to explain various types of usage.
Water reuse would describe what many people already do - or have done in the past. That is, using water from various sources apart from the tap. It could be water from the laundry or the bath, or stormwater, which is used to water your plants or clean the path, or washing your car on the lawn to water it. Direct reuse means that this water has not been treated in any way.
Recycled or reclaimed water is water from storm run-off or other places that has been treated to a high standard of purity ready for use in agriculture, homes or industry. Sewer mining doesn't mean that someone is digging for gold in the sewer - unless you class water as gold. It means that water used for sewage purposes has been reclaimed, treated and used as recycled water.
Greywater is all water used in the home for purposes other than sewage. It can be used treated or untreated. Blackwater refers to water only from the toilet. Stormwater is -you guessed it - water coming from storms. When it's teeming and you see all those gutters and drainage channels flooded with dirty water - that is stormwater.
